The multi-dimensional talents of Liza Minnelli are brought to life by acclaimed Chicago cabaret artist Heather Moran in Shine it on: The Music of Liza Minnelli. In this groundbreaking performance, Heather takes a fresh look at Liza's amazing ability to develop characters and convey stories through song. This show is exciting; fast paced, and features both Liza's famous and not-so famous Broadway and film songs.
The talented Bob Moreen serves as Musical Director.

Heather Moran has been performing in the city for over a decade. This past year, she was seen performing in such venues as Katerina’s, The Park West, andy's Jazz Club, Tivoli Ristorante, Hugo's Frog Bar, Cafe Luciano, Davenport's, Bistrot Margot, Terra Museum and on Navy Pier's premiere cruiseship, The Odyssey. Recently she was seen performing her new Liza Minnelli tribute show "Shine It On" at the legendary Maxim's and had a successful showing of her Clooney show, “Rosie…A Tribute!” at the Acorn Theater in Three Oaks, Michigan.

Heather can currently been seen with the critically acclaimed trio, 3 Girls 3, with the exceptionally talented Chicago performers, Mary Monica Thomas and Gail Koppa; a group that performs a 40’s show, a Burt Bacharach review and a Christmas show. She is also the lead singer of the Heather Moran Ensemble, an exceedingly talented group of professional Chicago Jazz musicians. Heather is on the board of the Chicago Cabaret and has appeared recently with the Green Mill’s 18 piece Alan Gresick’s Swing Shift Orchestra, performing with them, among other venues, at Grant Park for the Summer Dance series.

Liza Minnelli is the daughter of actress Judy Garland and film director Vincente Minnelli. Like her mother, Minnelli became known as a song-and-dance trouper of stage and screen; she won a Tony award for 1965's Flora, the Red Menace (the youngest actress ever to win) and an Oscar for playing Sally Bowles in the 1972 film Cabaret. Her 1972 TV special Liza With a 'Z' (directed by Bob Fosse) won an Emmy. She also starred opposite Dudley Moore in the successful romantic comedy Arthur (1981). In the 1980s and 1990s Minnelli was especially known for her live revues, including shows with Frank Sinatra and his latter-day Rat Pack.
